Worcester Park Public Realm Improvements

Closed 31 Oct 2012

Opened 10 Oct 2012

Overview

Following consultation with residents, businesses and visitors during Summer 2012 some design improvements to Worcester Park town centre, along Central Road, have been proposed. The aim of the improvements is to improve the environment for everybody and to hopefully attract more and/or new visitors to the area.

To view the proposals please download the attached consultation leaflet (related documents below).

The scheme is part of the Outer London Fund project in Worcester Park and North Cheam which aims to add vitality to the high street through a number of activities working with businesses, improving the public realm and encouraging community activity.

Why your views matter

These public realm proposals are at 'concept' stage: that is they are ideas for improvement not detailed plans for implementation. Peoples views on the concepts will enable the Council to decide how to take the improvements to the next step.

What happens next

After recieving feedback from the public the Project Team will work with the designers to decide what and how to take forward public realm proposals for Worcester Park. Design will take place from November - February/March.

The project also has a number of other projects underway such as street markets and working with businesses. See our webpage for more information.
