Introduction

At Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP), the safety of our residents is our utmost priority. Our dedicated housing teams work tirelessly to ensure that our high-rise buildings remain secure and safe places to live.

Following the Building Safety Act (2022) and the Social Housing (Regulation) Act (2023), Sutton Housing Partnership has committed to completing a bespoke resident engagement strategy for all high-rise buildings of seven storeys and/or above 18 metres in height in line with the requirement of this Act. The draft Strategy introduces Sutton Housing Partnership responsibilities on building safety and outlines the next steps that we will be taking.

Our new Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy demonstrates our commitment to building strong relationships with residents. Our goal is to ensure residents feel informed and empowered to challenge decisions and participate.
