St Helier Open Space - Help us shape the vision

Closed 14 Feb 2021

Opened 7 Jan 2021

Overview

Local parks and open spaces have never been so important for our physical and mental health. We’re working with your local community to improve St Helier Open Space.

Please complete this short survey to tell us how you currently use the Open Space, how you would like to use it, and what you think about the options we have identified.

Why your views matter

The Rosehill Area Renewal, an area-based improvement scheme, is part of the Ambitious for Sutton Plan. During the initial Rosehill Area Renewal engagement carried out in early 2020, residents identified ‘enhancing St Helier Open Space’ as one of the priorities. To take forward this priority, the Council has prepared a concept plan to illustrate the long term vision for St Helier Open Space that brings together the existing projects and identifies further opportunities for enhancing St Helier Open Space.

The Concept Plan (opens in a new window) illustrates the long term proposals on how the open space could look over the years to come and can be progressed incrementally. However, we want to hear your feedback on the vision and principles, how you use the St Helier Open Space and what specific improvements you would like to see.

The survey will remain open until midnight on 14 February 2021. We look forward to hearing your views. Based on your feedback, we will revise the vision plan and seek funding opportunities to develop the priority projects further and implement these projects over the next few years. We will identify a few projects that we can potentially bring forward in the short term to initiate the discussion and action on the ground. In particular, the Council is looking to establish the Friends of St Helier Open Space group and work with them in developing these plans further.

The survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous and any responses or any personal information will not be passed to third parties. For more information on how Sutton processes your personal information please visit our Privacy Notice (opens in a new window). Any comments you make may be made public on the Council's website however we will remove any personally identifiable information.
