Stanley Park Road- Beeches Avenue Area - Proposed Road Safety Improvements
Overview
Sutton Council has received road safety concerns from ward councillors and members of the public on Stanley Park Road and Beeches Avenue. There were twelve accidents recorded on Stanley Park Road between Boundary Road and Beeches Avenue in the last three years between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2020, two of which were serious accidents and the remaining were slights. There was only one slight accident recorded in Beeches Avenue in the same period.
Funding has been allocated by Transport for London (TfL) in the current year's Local Implementation Plan (LIP) programme to develop the preliminary design, consult upon and implement in the year 2021/22.
The outline design of the proposed improvement schemes are shown on the drawings below which have also have undergone an independent road safety audit, no significant safety points have been raised.

This is an informal consultation, we would like your feedback on the proposed measures by 12 September 2021. While it will not be possible to reply to you individually, all comments will be taken into account. At the end of this consultation period, officers will consider all responses received and a summary of the responses will be presented to the local ward councillors and you will be notified of the outcome of agreeing to the proposals.
