Park Lane - Parkgate Area - Proposed 20mph speed limit
Overview
Sutton Council has received concerns from ward councillors and members of the public regarding speeding issues in the Park Lane and Parkgate Road area.
The aim of the proposal is to reduce the risk of personal injury accidents, provide a safer environment for vulnerable road users and encourage walking and cycling in the area. The measures will also include installation of warning signs and slow markings on the approaches to Jancett Nursery in Park Lane.
We are consulting you to seek your views on a proposal to introduce a 20mph speed limit in the Park Lane - Parkgate Road area shown on the plan below.
Why your views matter
This is an informal consultation, we would like your feedback on the proposed measures by 30/4/23. While it will not be possible to reply to you individually, all comments will be taken into account. At the end of this consultation period, officers will consider all responses received and a summary of the responses will be presented to the local ward councillors. If the decision is to implement the scheme, you will be notified before commencement.
Your feedback is essential to this consultation as it will enable us to continue to improve the scheme before we start the detailed design process.
