Draft Lodge Place Planning Brief

Closed 12 Aug 2010

Opened 13 Jul 2010

Overview

The Lodge Place Planning Brief will provide guidance on the redevelopment of the Lodge Place area to help transform it into an attractive town centre destination. From 13 July to 12 August 2010 we are seeking your views on the draft Brief for this area. The aim of the draft Brief is to guide new private sector development in a coordinated way in order to improve the buildings, transport arrangements and public areas. The draft Brief proposes to: make Lodge Place pedestrian and cyclist only; attract new shops and businesses; and, accommodate new homes and community facilities.

Why your views matter

These plans will shape Lodge Place and are important to the whole of Sutton town centre. The final Brief, when adopted, will form part of the Council’s Local Development Framework that will replace the adopted Sutton Unitary Development Plan.

What happens next

Once the consultation period has closed the responses will be considered and changes will be made. The revised draft Brief will then be adopted as a Supplementary Planning Document and will provide a framework against which planning applications will be judged.
