Residential Electric Vehicle charging points survey
Results
Responses to this consultation have been used to help inform the placement of lamp column charging points, which are being introduced to Sutton borough in 2021. For lamp column charging points, we are most interested in those residents who said they park on-street (no off-street parking) and who either own a hybrid, electric vehicle or would intend to buy one in the future.
The responses will also be reviewed collectively as we work with charging point operators to help determine locations for additional charging points in the near future.
Overview
We have a target to use Sutton's network of street lighting columns to deliver at least 51 new electric vehicle charging points across the borough by the end of 2020.
We are also working to expand the network of Source London fast charging points in the borough.
Our aim is to provide a range of charging points for residents, businesses and visitors to the borough.
The proposals align with our ambitious aims to reduce motor vehicle journeys, improve air quality and to help Sutton become London's most sustainable borough.
Why your views matter
We want to hear your suggestions on locations near your home in Sutton for the delivery of an on-street charging point.
Requests will be logged and looked at collectively to help us install charge points in areas where demand is greatest.
