One Planet Sutton: Waste and Recycling Survey
Overview
One Planet Sutton is a vision for the borough where people lead happy, healthy lives with a fair share of the Earth’s resources. Sutton Council has committed to becoming a One Planet Borough by 2025. The council is working in partnership with a wide range of local voluntary and community groups to deliver this vision under the themes of cutting carbon emissions, cutting waste, valuing our natural environment, supporting healthy communities and supporting the local economy.
The council waste and recycling targets are:
- To reduce waste from council offices by 38% by 2017
- 85% of the waste stream in council offices to be recycled or composted by 2017
Why your views matter
Please complete this survey with your views and actions relating to waste and recycling within council offices.
Reducing waste and increasing recycling is a key objective of the One Planet Sutton programme. The council has targets specifically relating to the waste and recycling arising from its offices. Achievement of these will help the council save money, CO2 and reduce its environmental impact.
This survey is being undertaken to help identify improvements which can be made to help meet the waste and recycling targets.
