The Mayor of Sutton - Civic Function Consultation

Closed 1 Feb 2015

Opened 9 Jan 2015

Overview

Sutton Council is currently conducting a review of it’s Civic Function. The Civic Function is the role of the Mayor and the support provided to the Mayor.

In Sutton the role of the Mayor is largely ceremonial and differs from that of an elected Mayor. Sutton’s Mayor presides over Civic functions and social occasions as the ceremonial head of the Council; while attending and representing the Council at community, charitable and faith events.

We are asking residents to complete a short survey aimed at assessing levels of knowledge and awareness of the role of the Mayor. We also want to get your ideas and suggestions on how the Council’s Civic Function might be developed.

The consultation should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Responses to the questionnaire are anonymous and will not be passed on to third parties.
