Joint Carers Strategy 2015-17 consultation
Overview
This consultation is to get feedback from carers on the draft priorities for the 2015-17 Joint Carers Strategy.
This strategy is a refresh of the 2011-13 strategy. It looks at how London Borough of Sutton (LBS) and Sutton's Clinical Commissioning Group (SCCG) can maximise resources to meet the needs of carers in Sutton, and also meet the new legislative requirements for carers from the Care Act 2015.
Carers can have their say on the draft priorities for this strategy by either:
- Completing an online survey on this web-page
- Attending a focus group at Sutton Civic Offices, on either Wednesday 6th August (6pm-8pm); Thursday 7th August (10am-12pm); Thursday 14th August (10-12pm); Wednesday 20th August (6-8pm). Please contact Nelly Misenga if you are interested in attending one of these focus groups at nelly.misenga@sutton.gov.uk or on 02087706451
Why your views matter
It is critical that carers, parents and Sutton citizens supported by a carer are consulted in the development of the Joint Carers Strategy, in order to ensure that the priorities identified in the strategy are correct, and that resources are effectively targeted to meet the needs of Sutton's carers.
What happens next
The feedback given by carers via this online survey, and at the focus groups, will feed into the development of the Joint Carers Strategy.
The draft strategy will then be posted on the Consultation Hub for formal consultation between September and October. Carers will be able to provide additional comment on the strategy at this time.
Once the formal consultation has ended, we will provide feedback to carers about how their feedback was used, and discuss with carers how the strategy should be implemented.
