Robin Hood Juniors School Streets: Register your vehicle here

Closes 31 Mar 2021

Opened 11 Sep 2020

Overview

We want to make the streets outside our schools safer and the air cleaner for our children.

To help achieve this, we are trialling School Streets in a number of areas across the borough. A School Street is where the road outside a school is closed to motor vehicles during school drop-off and pick-up times except for residents living in that street.

School Streets

From Monday 28 September 2020 parts of Thorncroft Road and Greenford Road will only be open to pedestrians and cycles on Monday - Friday mornings (8.20-9.30am) and afternoons (2.15-3.45pm). This will be during school term times only.

If you have received a letter (as residents living in the affected zone) you will be exempt from the restriction, but will need to register your vehicle (please see below to start registration).

Where can I find out more?

For more information about this and other improvements we are implementing to make our borough’s streets safer, more active and greener, go to sutton.gov.uk/saferstreets.

Please note that you won't receive a physical permit for this scheme and as soon as your registration is made, you will be able to use the specified road(s) as you please.
